Amy Poehler

      Amy Poehler was born September 16, 1971 in Newton, Massachusetts, however she grew up in Burlington, Massachusetts. Both parents, Eileen and William, were teachers. Amy went on to attend Boston College.

      After graduating college in 1993, Amy had moved to Chicago in hopes of becoming a comedian. Here she joined three comedian groups: ImprovOlympics, Second City, . Here she had also met Tina Fey, another strong female comedian as well as her best friend.
